Monkey society follows a clear hierarchy, where every individual has a place within the group. Higher-ranking monkeys often receive more respect, access to food, and protection, while lower-ranking members may struggle for attention and resources. At times, weaker monkeys can even face harsh treatment or be confronted by larger, dominant monkeys and their subordinate group members. They may be chased away from food, excluded from social activities, or pressured to keep their distance. Such encounters can make life challenging for those at the bottom of the hierarchy. Despite these difficulties, many monkeys adapt by staying alert, avoiding conflict, and remaining close to supportive companions while carefully navigating the complex social relationships within their troop.
