The hardest weaning journey begins when a devoted mother monkey tries to teach her baby an important lesson. Every time the little one reaches for milk, Mom gently but firmly pushes him away and even throws him into the water. The baby looks confused and frightened, desperately trying to climb back toward his mother. Yet Mom remains determined, encouraging him to become more independent and learn to survive on his own.
